Construction Impacts on Residence Halls

Please refer to this page for parking and campus access updates in regard to construction on campus for summer residents transitioning to their permanent assignment and Early Arrivals (August 16-August 26)

  • Brigham Hall

    Early arrivals will experience minor work throughout the building such as

    • Testing occuring in the mechanical rooms
    • Workers checking valves at radiators throughout the building, including student rooms.
    • Furniture will be being moved into the building until August 16th.
  • Dickinson House

    Faculty Lane is currently being paved. Paving should be completed by August 11th.

  • Porter Hall

    Porter Hall will not be ready for occupancy until August 23, 2024. Early Arrival students moving in between August 16- August 23 have been communicated with individually about temporary relocation. Work that is still occurring in Porter includes

    • Parking Lot is still fenced off. Paving is expected to occur the week of August 19.
    • Furniture is being moved back into the building August 20- August 23.
  • Rockefeller Hall

    The parking and entrances on Rockefeller Road will be closed. Early Arrival students will need to use the 116 entrances. The North Side elevator will be accessible. There will be construction on the 1st floor in between North & South Rockefeller throughout the Fall 2024 semester.

  • Skinner Green

    Skinner Green is still under construction. Residence Halls surrounding the green may be distributed by noise.

    • August 6 - Septemeber 3- Construction will still be occurring. This will occur between the hours of 7am-5pm.
    • September 5- 11 - Demolizing the site will occur which includes the removal of trailers, dumpsters, and leveling out the soil. This will occur between the hours of 8am-dusk.
    • September 11 - Sod installation begins
    • September 11- October 2 - Skinner Green remains sectioned off and offline to help grass grow.
