New Student Housing Application
Students will be notified once the application is available to them.
Go to Residence in your web browser of choice.
Select Resident and log in using your Mount Holyoke userID and password – the same one you use for your MHC email. (Example: smith33c)
Once logged in, you will see your Residence home page. From there, you should click on the "Get Started" button under the Applications section to start your new student housing request. You will be presented with the two parts of this process.
You MUST complete part 1 and submit it by the deadline. Within part 1 is our questionnaire that helps us learn more about your preferences. We use this information to help identify your ideal roommate. We encourage you to be honest and forthcoming in these responses so we can help you find the best possible match. We have seen greater success in roommate matches when we use this process, then when students identify their own roommate.
Don't forget, you must have completed and submitted your application by the appropriate deadline (see below). As always, please contact our office if there is anything we can do to help or if you have questions about the system or housing assignment process!
For students interested in participating in one of our vibrant Living Learning Communities (LLCs), check out the LLC webpage for all the information on these communities. .
Please visit our Open & Close Dates page to see all the important dates for the residence halls for the 2026-2027 academic year.
The Office of Residential Life is excited to welcome you to campus and to the engaging residential experience here at Mount Holyoke. Residential Life encourages you to remain open to all the possibilities that living in a residence hall community will offer. The residence hall program is structured to enhance your academic experience at the College; you will find comfortable spaces to study and reflect and peers from around the world with whom you can share your perspectives and ideas. In addition, your hall will provide opportunities for you to become an active member of your hall community and engage in stimulating programs. We strive to make the residence halls a supportive place for your growth and development.
Frances Perkins Scholars
New Frances Perkins scholars who would like to request on-campus housing, should also complete the New Student Housing Application. Please note that housing for Frances Perkins students is very limited and requesting housing is not a guarantee of placement.
Disability Related Housing
Disability Services is the only designated office at the College for students to voluntarily disclose a disability, submit appropriate documentation for verification, and request accommodations. Disability Services engages with you in an interactive process to determine reasonable accommodations and ensure an individualized accommodation process. Students are welcome to register with the office at any point during their time at the College. Establishing accommodations and a connection with Disability Services prior to arriving on campus often helps to facilitate a smooth transition into the fall semester.
To request housing accommodations, please register with Disability Services. Every summer, Residential Life and Disability Services meet for a summer round of housing placements. To be considered in this summer round of housing placements for the 2026-2027 Academic Year, students must be approved by June 24, 2026. Both returning and new students approved after this date will be placed on wait lists for room(s) that fit their accommodation needs.
More information about disability-related housing needs and accommodations are on Disability Service's my.mtholyoke page. Additionally, students can refer to our guide to requesting accommodations for additional details.
Please do not hesitate to call 413-538-2634 or email disability-services@mtholyoke.edu if you have questions about the application process.
