Roommate Agreements

The majority of Mount Holyoke students live with roommate(s) during their time on-campus. As a residential college, Mount Holyoke likewise values and uplifts the experience that comes with living with others in community.

As part of supporting that process and educational journey, the Office of Residential Life requires all students living with other students to complete a roommate agreement. First-year students are required to complete this agreement with their RA/RF.

Roommates are highly encouraged to view the roommate agreement as a living document, meaning it should be revisited frequently as needs evolve and change. The Roommate Agreement is also non-exhaustive, and may prompt additional thoughts, questions, or considerations.

Conflict is a natural part of living with others: individual needs are complex, and residents bring a variety of perspectives and experiences into their residential journey at Mount Holyoke. Students are strongly encouraged to proactively reach out to their RA/RF or Area Coordinator should concerns arise!

Copies of the Roommate Agreement can be found via this link or by clicking through the images below.

Residents looking to upload copies of their completed Roommate Agreements (one submission per room) can do so via this link.
