Role of the Vice President

The Vice President shall:

Act as President in the case of the inability of the President to serve,

  1. Refer to Article I Section B Part 2 of the SGA Constitution Bylaws,

Attend all relevant meetings alongside the President, if needed, including but not limited to meeting with the President of the College, Faculty meeting, etc,

  1. Connect with the SGA advisor to schedule these meetings and,
  2. Set an agenda with clear expectations and goals for each meeting with the administration.

Ensure that a member of the Executive Board is in communication with the Seven Sisters Colleges for both the annual conference planning and any other events,

  1. Connect with the Archivist and the SGA advisor to determine the E-Board members from other 7 Sibling colleges,
  2. Maintain contact with other 7 Siblings to ensure that communication lines are open during MHC's turn to host the conference.

Maintain a close relationship with the Weissman Center for Leadership when planning the Leadership Retreat,

  1. Plan to meet at least once a semester and remain in contact as needed.

Support communication with the Mount Holyoke community about leadership opportunities on campus and to be responsible for coordinating leadership development opportunities for the Executive Board,

  1. Relay information about existing opportunities.

Coordinate SGA campus events, including but not limited to: Orientation 101, Get the Scoop, and all campus meetings,

Coordinate SGA Executive Board participation in the Fall and Spring Involvement Fairs,

  1. Of learning how to utilize resources such as G-Suite to coordinate and to set google calendar events/meetings.

Organize a student leadership retreat in coordination with the Office of Student Involvement,

Maintain a connection to the Career Development Center,

  1. Plan to meet at least once a semester and remain in contact as needed.
