Role of the Chair of Committees

The Chair of Committees shall:

Maintain general responsibility for the efficient operation of all SGA committees,

  1. Communicate with committee chairs and committee members about expectations and responsibilities,
  2. Keep track of the progress and needs of all committees,
  3. Form committee-specific strategic plans to address committee needs and issues, with the support of the Appointing Board.

Co-Chair the Appointing Board,

  1. Communicate to Appointing Board members about tasks, expectations, and responsibilities,
  2. Work with co-Chair about committee prerogatives, expectations, and responsibilities.
  3. Plan advertise, and execute Committee Yourself at the beginning of each semester,
  4. When formulating committee goals,
  5. When working with the Chair to create weekly agendas.

Support the Executive Board,

  1. Communicate with other Executive Board members about tasks, expectations, and responsibilities,
  2. Communicate with other Executive Board members about delegating work relating to projects and goals,
  3. Collaborate with a diverse set of working styles and personalities
