Appreciation Ideas
  • Zoom Chat Waterfall

Each student can prepare a kind message in the chat and then, on a signal, everyone can send the message at once.

  • Visit Office Hours

Visit your professor's office hours just to say hello and thank them!

  • Surprise Class Thank You Note

Have everyone in your class make a sign with a short thank you message, then display these at the beginning of class. If anyone isn't able or comfortable turning on their camera, they're welcome to message in the chat.

See picture below as an example!

  • Thank You Email

Send a brief email thanking someone for their work!

You can also send an e-card or use some other way of adding visual effects. Perhaps some gifs?

  • Call To Catch Up

Consider calling or texting someone you miss but haven't talked to in a while. Let them know you're thinking about them and want to catch up!

  • Make a Friend a Playlist

Playlists are a free, thoughtful gift! Services like Spotify make it easy to share songs, but even a list of songs on paper could be a great gift for a friend.

  • Go on a walk

    With friends or with yourself!
