Tabling, Vending and Solicitation

Tabling and Vending in the Community Center

Space for tabling and vending is available in the Community Center for student organizations, campus departments, and approved non-university parties. Departments and student organizations may reserve a table in the Dining Commons vestibule through EMS.

The Office of Student Involvement regulates all commercial activity and solicitation on campus as presented by student organizations and off-campus partners. These activities include distributing products and promotional materials, leafleting or soliciting, sales and solicitation for any purpose, or fundraising.

Complete guidelines and details are listed in the Tabling, Vending and Solicitation Policy.

  • Domestic students wishing to sell for personal gain must fill out the registration form which communicates all policies and serves as a contract for vending.
  • International students may not sell for personal gain, as it could put their Visa status at risk.
  • Off-campus commercial vendors must sign a contract with the Office of Student Involvement.
  • Recognized Student Organizations must adhere to the Fundraising Policy and collect money through Embark.
  • Off campus organizations wishing to solicit on campus should be sponsored by a department, who will make a table reservation on their behalf.
  • Students and student groups sponsoring the charitable donation activity must obtain permission from the Office of Student Involvement. Similar to other solicitation and vending, collecting charitable donations does require a contract.
