MHACASA

MHACASA'S Annual AC Day Showcase will be happening this Friday, March 1st, 2024. This year’s AC Day theme is Ensemb Nou Fo meaning together we are strong in Haitian Creole, and all our proceeds from this event will be going towards our chosen Caribbean charity: SOS Children’s Village Jamaica! Based in Jamaica, SOS Children's Village serves as a beacon of hope, advocating for orphaned individuals with a mission to break the cycle of poverty. The village provides family-style homes, ensuring love, stability, and education. Beyond immediate care, it empowers children through vocational training and academic support. The organization's mission-driven approach enables them to build resilient communities which in turn contributes to a brighter future for Jamaica's youth. Tickets can be purchased on Embark.

Why should I join organizations?

Community Building

Student organizations provide opportunities for students with similar interests, backgrounds, or goals to come together, fostering a sense of belonging and community on campus.

Leadership Opportunities

Student organizations offer opportunities for students to take on leadership roles, such as serving as club officers, committee chairs, or event coordinators, allowing them to gain valuable leadership experience and make a difference in their community.

Networking

Student organizations often host networking events, workshops, and conferences that connect students with alumni, professionals, and potential mentors in their field of interest, helping them build valuable connections for future career opportunities.
