Hello, RSO Leaders!


As we mentioned last month, we are excited to launch the Spark & Lead Workshop Series, a year-long set of learning and social opportunities designed to help student groups thrive: building leadership skills, creating stronger connections across campus, and teaching practical tools to take groups to the next level.

This month is all about Inclusive Leadership & Group Dynamics! 
October’s Spark & Lead lineup is packed with ways to make your org stronger, more connected, and more welcoming, plus some fun skill-builders along the way!

Highlights

Recruit, Retain, Repeat → Learn how to build a self-sustaining org that people want to stick with. Presented by Justin Terlisner, Office of Student Involvement.
Lightingpalooza Extravaganza! with Tim Dietrick → Because every show (and every team) shines brighter when everyone knows how to work the lights. Office of Student Involvement.
Communication with Faculty & Advisors → Build mentoring relationships and get that perfect rec letter without the stress. Presented by Amy Martin, Director of the Weissman Center for Leadership, Professor of English.
Rooted In You → Grow your brand, build community, and create spaces where your voice (and your org’s voice) really lands. Presented by Tasia Clemons, Office of Student Involvement.
Green RSOs → Lead with purpose by making your org more sustainable and climate-just. Presented by Mary Allison "MAK" Kane, Miller Worley Center for the Environment.

Student Involvement Consultants

The Student Involvement Consultants provide group and peer-to-peer advising to support student organizations and offer sessions and workshops focused on training, reflection, and skill-building. View their website and their Fall Drop-In Hours (Blanchard 327).
