"Rooted in You: How Social Chairs Can Tell Their Org's Story" is a workshop for college students who are interested in building engagement both within their organization and the outside community. Social media isn’t just about algorithms or chasing likes, it’s a powerful tool to share your story, build an authentic community, and create a brand rooted in who you are.
This workshop will give you the foundation to get started and show you how to do it in a way that feels real, sustainable, and rooted in you. This workshop is presented by Tasia Clemons, Associate Director of Orientation & Transition Programs in the Office of Student Involvement.
This program is part of the Spark and Lead Workshop series.
The workshop is in the Blanchard Lounge, room 227, on the main floor near the Skinner entrance. The floor is accessible by a ramp on the Skinner Green side or by elevator from the first floor. 227 is a modular space featuring furniture that can be rearranged as needed. There are no desk-height tables in the space. There is a screen that can be used for presentations and other media viewing.
The Office of Student Involvement strives to provide access to our events for all interested participants. Please contact student-involvement@mtholyoke.edu to request accommodations. We ask that requests for accommodations be made at least 48 hours in advance, but we will make every effort to meet accommodation requests at any time.
