A Pulitzer Prize and two-time GRAMMY-winning composer and multi-instrumentalist, Rhiannon Giddens bridges deep folk traditions with contemporary storytelling to elevate the overlooked origins of American music.

The event will begin with a brief presentation in the Kendall Studio Theater, and then transition to the Basketball Court. In the workshop, Rhiannon will teach a "frolic" in the Black square dance tradition, with opportunities to observe or participate in the dancing.

All participants must register in advance, first come first served. Space is limited.

Clean sneakers or socks only in the Basketball Court.

We are committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment for all students. This workshop celebrates creative expression through movement and music, and all levels of physical ability, mobility, and background are welcome.
