Who are the PHEs?
Peer Health Educators are a peer education group dedicated to providing accurate health and wellness information, fostering open and safe environments, debunking assumptions, and reaching out to the diverse communities of MHC. The group’s goal is to help students develop the tools needed to make informed choices and to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We actively engage and present information to students on a variety of wellness topics such as alcohol and other drugs, stress, sexual health, healthy relationships, body image/eating disorders, nutrition, healthy relationships, and sleep. Peer Health Educators are student employees that are affiliated with the Be Well Program and supported by the Office of Residential Life. The Area Coordinator for Be Well and the Be Well Assistant acts as advisors to the group.
