Snow Building Competition

Logistics:

You will be given 50 minutes to build your structure. It is encouraged that you think about your idea ahead of time and come with an action plan. There is a 10 minute break in between time slots for sanitizing supplies, please make sure that you return items on time. 

Registration: 

When registering, there is no relation between Team 1 at 1:00pm and Team 1 at 2:00pm or 3:00pm. If you do not wish to have a teammate, feel free to register for both tickets in your selected time slot. Though we encourage you to leave the second ticket open and meet someone new!

Building:

To ensure social distancing, we will be utilizing a variation of relay rules. You and your partner cannot touch your structure at the same time. We suggest that one person gets snow, while the other builds. You may switch roles through the hour as you see fit. 

You may not adjust your structure after the hour is over. You may not touch another team’s structure. 

Structures must be appropriate for public (including social media) display

Supplies: 

You will be given one shovel and one bucket. You may search for sticks, rocks, and other organic matter around campus leading up to your time slot. Do not pull items off of living things - for instance, do not ripe bark off of trees. Please do not bring any other items with you. 

Prizes: 

All entries will automatically be submitted for each category. Each structure may win up to one category.

Most Creative: Spice Shakers
Tallest: Water Bottles
Best Name: Reusable Straw Set
The “Oh No!”: Orange Beanie

All events require pre-registration and for following the Community Compact.
