Hello student group leaders!

We're writing to share some important information and updates.

 

Staff Changes

OSI Event Coordinator Justin Terlisner's last day at Mount Holyoke will be Friday, March 6th. After the 6th, contact Tim Dietrick (tdietric@mtholyoke.edu) for event-related questions and Jaime DeCaro (jdecaro@mtholyoke.edu) for all other questions. 

Want to win a MHC blanket?

Complete our spring involvement survey for a chance to win!

Participate in the Experience MHC Fair!

On Sunday April 12th, 4:00-5:30 PM admitted students will be attending a Resource Fair during their Preview Weekend (Experience MHC), which is where you come in!  Orgs are invited to table, similar to the Involvement Fair, so our new admits will get a sense of how they can get involved on campus. This is also a fantastic opportunity to recruit new members! Sign up here.

Involvement Consultants

The Student Involvement Consultants support student organizations and offer sessions and workshops focused on training, reflection, and skill-building. This spring look their SPARK & LEAD workshop series in the Involvement Studio (304 Blanchard). Email them at involvement-consultants@mtholyoke.edu 

Ways & Means Deadline

The deadline for April funding is Sunday, March 8th at 1pm. Remember that you must submit applications on time and in the correct budget in order for your application to be considered.

Attention all new officers!

Have you been recently appointed as the treasurer of your organization? Or do you know any first-years who’ve stepped up as new officers?

The Office of Student Involvement is hosting a boot camp just for you! Learn everything from how to use Embark and secure funding for events to writing professional emails and creating designs on Canva. This is the perfect opportunity to level up your skills and get ready to lead!

Be sure to spread the word to the members of your orgs, especially those who are new to their roles.

Join us for a creative scrapbooking session hosted by the Office of Student Involvement in collaboration with the Mount Holyoke Archives! Capture the memories of your personal journey , your story and identity space or your organization by adding your voice to the Archives and leaving something meaningful behind for the next generation.

Space is limited in the Archives, so please RSVP to attend. If you can’t make it this time, don’t worry, the event will be repeated in the spring semester interested groups can engage in the scrapbooking activity.

Need to update your student organization's constitution? Join us on Tuesday, March 10th, as we will be holding a student orgs constitutional convention! This event is an opportunity for org leaders to work on constitution updates with the help of a Student Involvement Consultant. It is also a time that they can discuss updates with other groups going through the process. Those working on updates may drop in anytime between 4 and 6 pm in Blanchard 327 to meet with an SIC!

This event will be held in a physically accessible space with limited seating. For accommodations, please contact involvement-consultants@mtholyoke.edu at least 48 hours prior to the event.
