It is my absolute pleasure as vice president for Student Life and dean of students to welcome you to Mount Holyoke College and the start of your journey at MoHome! You are joining a vibrant, engaging, and inclusive campus community, one that is here for you to try new paths, delve deeper into your interests, and bring your whole self.
I know you have many questions about Orientation and Move-In, how to prepare, and starting at Mount Holyoke in January! I encourage you to thoroughly review this email and click all of the links. Please know that we will communicate with you in the lead up to Orientation in many ways:

Email to your Mount Holyoke email address. You should anticipate emails from me or others preparing you as a new student to join Mount Holyoke. You will also receive weekly “MHC This Week” emails that go to our entire community — these will include updates on College operations. Make sure you are checking your MHC email daily!

Orientation website. Bookmark the Orientation main page, the To-Do List, and the Campus Services page, which provides more information about who to contact with your questions! Check back frequently for updates, including the Orientation schedule of sessions, traditions, and events to go live in December.

Orientation and Move-In Dates
As you are creating your plans for your move-in date, we want to make sure you know the following key dates. More information will be provided later in December or early January about the move-in process. Wednesday, January 17 – new international student move-in and pre-orientation as well as our Fearless First move-in and pre-orientation

More international student-specific information -- including move-in time slots -- will be sent directly from the McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives to international student’s MHC emails

Thursday, January 18 – new domestic students move in and pre-orientation for new international students and Fearless First students

Thursday, January 18 through Sunday, January 21 – orientation for new students
To-Do List Reminders

Complete the New Student's Initial Information for Advisor questionnaire found in your my.mtholyoke account by November 30th.

Submit a photo for your MHC OneCard, the ID that you’ll use on campus!

Complete all health forms by December 1 for students starting classes in the spring. You will not be allowed to pick up your keys or check into housing if Health Forms have not been received by College Health Services.

Complete the New Student Housing Application by December 1 at noon. You need to submit an application for housing with us in order to be assigned a room for the spring semester. On this application, you will indicate your interest in our specific communities, such as our living-learning communities as well as give us information that will help us match you with a roommate.

For housing accommodations, you need to meet with Disability Services by 12/1/23 to be approved for housing accommodations for spring 2024. There is no guarantee of placement due to space(s) available. Make sure to follow the application process outlined in the email sent on Oct. 26.
