  • UMASS | 09/29/25

    MHC Dressage got our season started this past weekend at MuddyBrook Farm, hosted by UMASS Dressage! Everyone rode their butts off, and the team came in 2nd! The weather was beautiful, and we were able to get some fantastic pictures in the lovely outdoor ring.

    Starting the day with First Level, Leah rode Phoenix to the win and had a blast getting back in the IDA arena! Next, Eliza made her debut as a dressage queen, laying down a beautiful test with our friend Frankie and earning 2nd!

    After lunch, it was time to get started with Lower Training. Jay powered through an unfortunate bee sting and put in a lovely test on the sassy Luna for 7th place. Intro finished up our test riding for the day, where Eleanor made her IDA debut and piloted Monkey around for a lovely and correct test for 4th place!!

    We wrapped up the day with DSE, where Leah had a very speedy ride on the wonderful Ivan! Ashe's IDA debut was next, riding the beautiful Ms. Lola in upper and earned 4th! Evie put in a strong ride on Linus for another 4th-place finish! And Victoria rounded out the day with a 3rd place in the Intro DSE with Reggie!

    It was a great way to start the semester, and now we're pumped for UVM this weekend!

  • UVM | 10/05/25

    MHC Dressage is on our way back from Burlington after another lovely show at UVM Dressage! Everyone rode like a pro in the unusually warm weather, and the team came in 3rd!

    Starting the day with First Level, Leah had a blast with the lovely Spanish horse Zar, earning a 71.296 and the win! Next, Ashe and the lovely chestnut mare Virginia put down a beautiful test and earned 3rd with a 70.862%

    After lunch, it was time to get started with Lower Training. Josie did a super job on Star, riding like a beast and earned 5th! Intro finished up our test riding for the day, where Eleanor put down another lovely and correct test on Chuck for 4th place!!

    This team is on fire! After break next week, we cannot wait to get back into the show arena!

  • UNH | 10/26/25

    MHC Dressage is back from Durham after another show at UNH Dressage! Everyone rode like a pro in the chilly weather, and the team came in 3rd!

    Starting the day with First Level, Leah drew the famous Tino, and we had a lovely test until we were unable to pick up the right lead canter, so we finished in 6th.

    Next, Eliza continues to dominate in the dressage arena, riding a beautiful test on Dutch and winning Upper Training!

    While we were working on lunch, it was time to get started with Lower Training. Josie did a super job on Dawson, riding like a beast, and earned 5th!

    Intro finished up our test riding for the day, where Cora made her IDA debut, putting down a lovely and correct test on Shamus for 4th place!!

    After Intro, we moved on to First and Upper DSE! Leah drew the sweet Finn 2, and we finished 2nd! In Upper, despite some confusing instructions (and what the judge deemed a mutiny) Eliza rode like a pro on Medea for another 2nd place!

  • UCONN | 11/16/25

    MHC Dressage is back home after another show at UConn Dressage! Everyone rode like a pro in the frigid weather, and the team came in 2nd!

    Starting the day with First Level, Leah drew a new addition to the program, the wonderful Moon and finished 6th.

    Next, Ashe blew everyone away, putting down a beautiful test on the king Statesman, and not only winning Upper Training with a 75% but walking away with high point of the show.

    After lunch, it was time to get started with Lower Training. Jay did a celebration-worthy ride on a horse named Celebration for 6th. Esther then did a wonderful job in her IDA debut on the very snuggly and very green Fig Newton to finish 9th.

    Intro finished up our test riding for the day, where Cora drew the adorable Edee, piloting the warmup like a pro and putting down a fantastic test for 2nd place (and even won a dinosaur!)

    After Intro, we moved on to Lower and Intro DSE. In her IDA debut, Maya drew Kash, and while we were all admiring his incredible tail highlights, Maya showed off exactly what she has been working on in practice, becoming queen of the canter and finishing 6th. Ursula then finished up the day in Intro, riding the sweet and fluffy Noah to 3rd place!

    For the final show of the fall season, we took home the win!

    Leah started the day with a blast on Jay Doane’s Otto, with a season high of 74 and a second place finish!

    In upper training, Ashe rode Syd to the win with a lovely and well thought out test, and Eliza piloted Denali through a incredibly accurate and correct ride for fourth place.

    In lower, Jay piloted the sassy Miss Garnet to another fourth place, and Evie on Rusty were right behind them with a harmonious test for fifth.

    In intro, Cora and Jazz clinched the win for MHC earning sixth, and Ursula on Pippa won reserve high point of the day, and won the intro class!

    This team worked so hard to put on the show, this was our last one of the semester, and we can’t wait to be back in the spring!
