Centering Anishinaabe epistemologies and concepts of well-being, Dr. Sonya Atalay explores how reclaiming ancestral remains, traditional knowledge, Indigenous language, and sacred sites contribute to healing and well-being. This talk will discuss use of arts-based research and knowledge mobilization methods --including collaborative comics, storybaskets and counter mapping -- as part of Indigenous storywork. This work shows us that repatriation is a teacher, one that provides a model for imagining decolonial research futures.
