In this week’s email, we will provide you our Student Involvement Consultants drop-in hours, update on further training, guidance for you if your members are on leave, and additional Embark resources and training.
As a reminder, please reach out to the students who expressed interest in your group through Embark. There are multiple students who are excited and looking to get involved. I know Embark is a new system and we are here to help you utilize.
Also to note, when a member first joins and logs into your organization, an officer may need to validate their request to join, and once approved the member will be prompted to read and sign the anti-hazing waiver. Once they do, they’ve fulfilled that requirement.

Additional Embark Resources and Training
Beginning October 1st, we will be having weekly Embark trainings on Thursdays from 3-4 pm EDT. Each week will cover a different topic, and we will record the session and post them on our Embark Resources training website. Be sure to also take advantage of the resources already available on that site: we’ve posted videos, guidebooks, and general FAQs to help answer students’ questions.
Guidance with members on leave
We acknowledge that due to the nature of our remote atmosphere, many students have taken a leave of absence. Please note, that students who are on leave are not entitled to engage in College programs or activities (per Student Handbook), this includes student groups as well as holding a leadership position in a student organization. If you are on leave and you are holding a student leader role, you should resign your position to a student currently enrolled.
