Come and join us to hear and engage with Sr. Melinda Pellerin, SSJ, a local woman of color, whose amazing faith journey led her to teach in the public schools in Springfield where she was recognized as the 2004 "Massachusetts Teacher of the Year", to marriage and loss of her love, Phil, to the Sisters of St. Joseph of Springfield, and to racial justice activism both in the community and in the U.S. Catholic Church." Sr. Melinda's story is a story of liberation

"Deep River" is an anonymous African-American spiritual, popularized by Henry Burleigh in his 1916 collection Jubilee Songs of the USA.
