Hello!

 

This email is coming to you from the Mount Holyoke Orientation Team. It includes important information, including the Orientation schedule, action items, deadlines and key dates to help you prepare for a smooth transition. Please take a moment to review the details below and reach out to orientation@mtholyoke.edu if you have any questions.

Orientation To-Do List

 

Set yourself up for success by tackling these items as early as possible.

 

Complete the Orientation To-Do List Items: Review the comprehensive list of required forms and tasks you need to complete before Orientation begins.

 

Health forms: The Dec. 15 deadline for submitting your required health information has passed. If you've already sent everything in, thank you! If you haven't yet submitted your health forms, or if you've only sent in parts, please prioritize submitting them to Health Services via the My Health Connection portal as soon as possible.

 

Set up Duo Security: If you have not already done so, please set up your Duo two-factor authentication for campus systems access.

 

Complete Vector Courses (Mandatory): Last week you received an email about mandated courses covering: alcohol education, anti-hazing, respect, healthy relationships, sexual misconduct and Title IX. These must be completed by Jan. 16.

Vector Login details

 

To begin, login to Vector, our learning management system, using your full Mount Holyoke College email address.

  • Username: Your full Mount Holyoke email address (e.g., mlyons@mtholyoke.edu)

  • Password: The first 5 characters of your email address (e.g., mlyon for mlyons@mtholyoke.edu)

 

Access courses: Alcohol Edu, Anti-Hazing for Athletes, Respect Edu and TItle IX Rights and Protections Training

Please note that there may be changes or additions to events, sessions and updates to locations leading up to Orientation.

 

A reminder of some key dates:

  • Wednesday, January 21: New international student move-in and pre-orientation as well as our Fearless First move-in and pre-orientation

    • More international student-specific information will be sent directly from the McCulloch Center for Global Initiatives to international student’s MHC emails.

       

  • Thursday, January 22: New domestic students move in and pre-orientation for new international students and Fearless First students.

     

  • Thursday, January 22 through Sunday, January 25: Orientation for all new students.

 

Fearless First Academy (Optional Pre-Orientation)

 

The Fearless First Academy is an optional pre-orientation program for first-generation and/ or low-income students to help you acclimate early and build community.

 

To register for the Fearless First Academy, complete the form below by Jan. 2.

All registered Fearless First Academy Scholars must move in on Tuesday, Jan. 21, to attend the in-person workshops, which are a requirement for completing the Fearless First Academy.

 

If you cannot participate, please know that additional Fearless First programming and resources will be available throughout the year.

Springie Committee

The Student Government Association Springie Committee, composed of current students who began their college experience as spring admits, is dedicated to improving the transition period and college experience for springies by building community, providing resources, creating social events, representing springies in the SGA and connecting students.

Springie Big-Little Program

The Committee is organizing a Big-Little Program to support incoming students by pairing them with current students who understand the unique experience of starting in the spring. This program fosters connections and offers valuable peer support.
