Website Mission

Mission
La Unidad is a space for students of the Latine diaspora to embrace and celebrate our culture. Members of La Unidad want to provide Latine students an opportunity to develop the support systems necessary for a successful college experience. We want to solidify the relationship amongst our Latine peers in order to provide a stronger sense of community within our institution.

By:
- Creating brave spaces to combat stereotypes that are perpetuated in everyday society and
- To unite all the students who identify as Latine.
- Hosting different bonding events where we are able to establish relationships and explore our Latinidad.
- Promoting our culture and traditions while serving our local and global communities in areas such as Holyoke and Springfield.
- Hosting spaces for Latines to reflect about current events that affects our community.
-Collaborating with other student organizations that have intersecting identities and experiences.
-Collaborating with other departments that help advance our professional development or can contribute to our learning on campus.
- Providing a space for our peers, who identify as Latine to have a voice their ideas, opinions, and concerns about topics that are important to them.
