Mock First Year Seminar Class - Academic Success

First Year seminar courses are required for all first year new students at MHC. This mock class will give students the opportunity to experience a seminar course while also providing students with the basic understanding of the history of friendship as a relational concept by exploring the complexities and nuances of friendship in the context of higher education and reflecting on their own process of making and maintaining friendships. Students will examine the challenges and possibilities of friendship across social and personal identities with particular attention to race and gender.
