Come learn more about this year’s theme and programs for Latine Heritage Month, while also experiencing an inspiring workshop by this year’s guest speaker, A’dahi Baira, titled, "Somos Más: Grounding in Our Culture through Connection & Celebration". This comprehensive and engaging experience is created to foster a sense of community and resilience among the MHC Latine community by promoting critical reflection, community building, and resilience. The workshop will culminate in a celebration of Latine culture, a support squad activity, and hope-focused affirmations. Dinner will be provided!

A’dahi Baira (they/them) the founder of Colectiva Wellness & Healing identifies as Two-Spirit, Afro-Indigenous-Latine, queer, disabled, survivor/ thriver of gender-based violence. They are an employee well-being strategist, cultural care consultant, healing justice facilitator, community organizer and parent.


 

Combined with 20+ years of human resources, employee wellness management, community theatre, community organizing and intersectional artivism. A’dahi Baira is currently serving on the National Council for Technical & Training Assistance for Esperanza United, supporting gender based violence advocates. They are also on the National Facilitator team for Creating Freedom Movements.


 

Locally, in Lawrence, MA they are the community healer, the spiritual activist who believes in the spirit of mutual aid and community care. A’dahi Baira brings an empathetic, radical and accessible approach to their work. A’dahi Baira is committed to learning and sharing their knowledge, resources and gifts passed from teachers, mentors, and elders through the lens of social justice, decolonization, collective healing and liberation.
