Join us in listening to Indigenous educator, chef, and lightworker, Rachel Beth Sayet, to learn about Mohegan food, food sovereignty, and spirituality. Rachel is a member of the Mohegan nation, and her two longest standing passions are history and food, especially that of her Mohegan heritage and identity. This makes her the perfect person to teach us about traditional Mohegan foods and their roles in spiritual practices and traditions. Rachel will be catering the lunch with some of the foods she plans to teach us about! Food will be available to-go in the rotunda after the talk concludes in honor of our community members who are celebrating Ramadan this month and will be fasting. Those who wish to stay after to eat in community and/or continue the conversation are welcome to do so!
Food Provided (Native Indigenous Food from the Mohegan nation Vegan Johnny Cakes served either with jam and honey or as sandwiches with turkey and dandelion greens Dandelion green salad with fresh fruit and maple dressing herbal tea roasted vegetables )
