Hello Class of 2024,

I wanted to share more information about Class of 2024 connection events that will happen on-campus for residential first years as well as upcoming online events for your entire class! 

A reminder to bookmark the First Year calendar, where events and programs will continue to be added, and to sign up for the residential Blue Lyon Pen Pal program which matches you with another first year student on-campus for sending mail, connecting through technology, or meeting up in-person within the Community Compact requirements. Make sure to check Embark each week for our First-Year Fridays series, which continues this week with Human Bingo, and to check out the ABC’s for 1st Years Workshop Series.

I've inserted below additional information about upcoming campus tours (Feb 6th and Feb 7th) and on-campus events (our first on-campus First Year Pop Up on February 7th, morning and afternoon, where you'll get your class bandana! along with a Blanchard Games) along with class-wide online events, scroll through and RSVP. A reminder that all on-campus events and tours require prior registration due to Massachusetts state capacity requirements. Anyone in quarantine or isolation cannot participate in in-person events.

Join some of Mount Holyoke's finest tour guides for a guided experience of Mount Holyoke's campus. If you're new to living on campus this is your opportunity to learn where buildings are, understand the shortest routes, and get some insider knowledge about the campus grounds.

Tours are limited to 10 people and require pre-registration, Community Compact is in effect. We welcome folks joining the waitlist!

Tours will start promptly, tour guides will wait 2-3 minutes before inviting anyone present who is on the waitlist to join.

Reminder if you are in quarantine or isolation you cannot participate in in-person events.

This event is limited to students who are approved to stay on campus.

Come to Blanchard to play some video games! We will have 15 minute slots for you to play Mario Kart and Jackbox Games with other residential students. First time players and experienced players are both welcome! We encourage you to sign up!

Mario Kart will happen in Blanchard 227. Jackbox Games will happen in the Great Room. You will need a smart phone, tablet, or laptop to play Jackbox games, please make sure to bring one with you.

Calling the Class of 2024! We'll be offering first year pop ups every month - a chance to snag some 2024 swag and to connect with others in your class.

This month we'll be set-up on Skinner Green with your class bandanas (one of our MHC traditions!), hot coco, and we'll be pairing you up with another 2024-er for time to get to know one another. You'll be welcome to go for a walk or find a place to sit outside, and we're providing some starter questions, too.

All pop ups require pre-registration and for following the Community Compact. Reserve your spot today! There is also other options between 2pm and 4pm.

Tuesday Crafternoon: Collage Art

Want to vision board with Reader's Digest? Make poetry with a cut up New Yorker? Or maybe create your own scenic imagery from a national geographic? Enjoy an hour of zoom crafting with friends or come to meet some new folks. It will be a time to hangout and get to know each other in a low stress environment.

Students on Campus: we have created 100 kits. Each comes with a sheet of cardstock and a magazine. All other materials (scissors, glue) were provided during move-in. If you would like to pick up supplies, please select "On-Campus Supply Pickup" so that we may contact you with pickup instructions. You must be living on campus to pick up supplies.

Remote Students: Here's what you'll need: scissors, glue, magazine or newspaper, and some sort of heavier paper like construction paper or cardstock.
