The mission of the organization is to help promote student's knowledge about the foundations, functions, and terminology of law and court procedure. They will gain practical experience and information on the trial process and judicial system, decorum, and rules of evidence. Involvement in the team will also allow students to explore legal career options and develop useful professional skills. They can gauge whether and how they might fit into a legal career. Students of all backgrounds can acquire confidence, poise, oral skills, critical thinking skills, and teamwork skills such as listening and cooperating.
