Registration: Intergroup Dialogue Symposium 2023

This Symposium will bring together the Five College Consortium as well as approximately 25 other colleges/universities in the Northeast. IGD students, educators, scholars, and practitioners are invited to reflect on IGD’s past, present, and future role in creating change within higher educational institutions.

Events include a film featuring some of the founders and early adopters of IGD, Dr. Barbara Love moderating a “Launching Leadership” style conversation with Dr. Beverly Daniel Tatum and Dr. Ximena Zúñiga, and concurrent sessions on pedagogical innovations and future consideration for IGD. The Symposium is sponsored by: the Mount Holyoke President's Office, the Provost's Office, and the Division of Student Life. Five College collaborators include Five College Consortium; Five College IGD Collaborative; Five College Lecture Fund; Smith College; Amherst College, Hampshire College; Social Justice Education, College of Education, University of Massachusetts-Amherst; Diversity Education and Training, Student Affairs and Campus Life, University of Massachusetts-Amherst; and Advocacy, Inclusion, and Support Programs, University of Massachusetts-Amherst.

Schedule: The symposium will run Friday, November 17 from 3pm to 9pm and Saturday, November 18 from 8:30am to 5pm.

Registration: Space is limited and registration will close November 3 at 5pm ET. There is an option to register just for Friday's offerings. Payment must be made online via PayPal or debit/credit card. Refund requests will be accepted up until October 13.
