The Community Care Circles series for Latinx Heritage Month are brave spaces designed for Latinx students to engage in self and collective awareness by sharing their lived experiences and ask for what they need unapologetically.

In this circle, Ysabel Garcia, Graduate Assistant for Residential Community and Inclusion, and Adriana Pitetta, Assistant Professor of Spanish for the Spanish, Latina/o, Latin American Studies Department, will lead a dialogue on the ways anti-blackness and colorism appear in Latinx communities and how they can deter Latinx individuals from fully joining the Black Lives Matter Movement. Open to Latinx students. Co-sponsored by Be Well.

For inquiries about the accessibility of this event or to request any accommodations, please contact Ysabel Garcia at ysabelgarcia@mtholyoke.edu. Please make accommodation requests at least three days before the event date to give implementation time, however, in all situations, a good faith effort will be made to provide accommodations up until the time of the event.
